The huge 5000 hectare forest of Mervent/Vouvant offers a marvellous combination of trees and water. On foot, on horse back, in a boat or by mountain bike you can wander alone or accompanied, discover the forest, its flora and fauna. There are numerous marked routes for all levels, criss-crossing the forest. Climbing, archery, windsurfing and canoeing are all equally available.

The Parc Naturel Régional du Marais Poitevin is an incredible labyrinth of water ways hidden under ash and poplar trees. Through the centuries the ocean has left a huge marsh of 95,000 hectares later developed by man. Trees and water reign in perfect harmony. This country of a thousand water ways vibrates with a rhythm of the barques (small boats) that rocks and plunges the traveller into an enchanted and uniquely gentle lullaby.
The Natur'Zoo de Mervent has nearly 50 different species coming from 5 continents, (lions, lemurs, wolves, tigers, mini farm) bringing together the smallest and the biggest.
Indian Forest at Moutiers les Mauxfaits, is the biggest adventure park in France offering multiple activities in a forest of 100 year old oak trees (journey through the trees with or without a harness,try the infinity jumping or zip wire, orienteering courses and paint balling)
Pierre Brune Park, at the heart of the Mervent forest is an adventure park for all the family (merry go rounds, rodeo, paddle boats, giant slide, small train).
